This 2500 sq ft new home will implement passive house principles for a high performing, fire resistant envelope. Situated in the forest with filtered horizon views, the design takes advantage of the 35 ft height limit to access those views, with a tower meditation room and deck among the redwoods. The owners will install triple pane windows, Alpen Tyrol, and extra mineral wool insulation for insulative values exceeding Title 24. Redwoods felled on site will be milled and dried for incorporation into the construction of the project.
